Vaping Dream or Just a Drag?
I recently came across this website www.wearevapers.com. The site is primarily to promote and recruit help and sponsorship for a proposed Vaping documentary by Linc Williams alias Bald Groove.
. Vaping is the term used to describe the act of inhaling water vapor delivered by use of an Electronic Cigarette or as is preferred to the " Vaping Community", a "Personal Vaporizer", or "PV".
The majority of the smoking population and indeed non-smokers alike have no idea what this activity is or indeed why it is done. Therefore a documentary explaining and demonstrating this sounds like a very constructive idea. I say sounds like until I watched the documentary makers video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys81OkdUpDc explaining what he was hoping to achieve and taking calls and questions from other Vapers. Oh dear it does rather sound like this is going to be an ego piece where all the old cronies are jostling for their 15 minutes of fame.
It would be really useful for an educational movie to remove this element and concentrate on peoples stories of how using Electronic Cigarettes have/are changing their life and how and what vaping actually is rather than. Who made the first Modified electronic cigarette and who is the best reviewer out there. An hour watching GrimmGreen.com jostling for airtime with puresmoker.com and the team from vaporcast.com might be of help to themselves and their enterprises personally, but is hardly the stuff of Sundance Film Festivals' dreams.
Lets us hope Mr Williams resists the aforementioned temptation as he did with cigarettes.
